UCASA is proud to announce our March Advanced Advocacy Training! This training is for folks who have taken the 40-hour Sexual Assault Counselor Training. We dive deeper into topics that were covered in the 40-hour Sexual Assault Counselor Training and provide more activities and conversations for attendees to get a comprehensive presentation. The first half of our training will provide trainees with an in-depth workshop on Trauma-Informed Advocacy ripe with activities, scenarios, and conversations. The second half of the training will cover Spiritual Concerns in Advocacy. In this presentation, we will delve into how religion, socialization, and spirituality may affect how survivors view their assault and how they heal or find justice. It is vital to better understand different aspects of a survivor's life to provide more trauma-informed advocacy.
